01Why metal roofing
Metal
A standing seam roof has no fasteners showing.
The panels lock into each other and clip to the deck underneath, so there are no screw heads sitting out in the weather waiting for their washers to give up. That's most of why metal lasts as long as it does, and it's the part nobody can see from the ground.
02On roofs we put on
Standing seam, on roofs we put on
- 01Panels and trim Concealed clips, no exposed fasteners.
- 02Hips and valleys Where a metal roof is won or lost.
- 03Solar and metal together Solar over a standing seam roof.

03How it goes
How the job goes
We come and measure
On the roof, not from the curb. You get photographs of what we found and a written price that lists what the work covers.
You pick the panel
Profile, gauge and color, and it's your call. Metal reads differently in Texas sun than it does on a chart, so take your time with it.
Tear off and dry in
Old roof off, deck checked and repaired where it needs it, then underlayment before any panel goes on.
Panels, then the cleanup
Panels, trim, flashing and sealant. Then we clean up after ourselves and leave the ground the way we found it.

Things people ask us
Rather talk it through? Call (817) 775-8044.
How long does a standing seam roof last?
Longer than most people stay in the house. On an exposed fastener roof the screws go straight through the face of the panel, and the rubber washers under those screw heads are usually what fails first. Standing seam hides its fasteners under the seam, so there's nothing on the surface for the weather to work on.
Is it loud in the rain?
Not the way people expect. The sound people remember is a barn roof, where the panel sits on open purlins with nothing under it. On a house there's decking, underlayment and attic insulation between you and the panel.
Will insurance pay for a metal roof?
Sometimes. It depends on your policy and on what the storm actually did. Policies differ a lot on whether they'll put back the same material or only pay what the old roof was, and that difference is the whole answer for most people. Get us out and we'll walk you through how the claim works before you file anything.
Is it much more than shingle?
It costs more. How much more depends on the profile, the pitch and how cut up the roof is, so we won't guess at it on the phone. Take the free estimate and you'll get a real number in writing.
Will you repair metal you didn't install?
Usually, yes. Bring us out and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a repair or whether you're throwing money at a roof that's finished.
What is the warranty?
Five years on our workmanship. The panel manufacturer warrants the material separately, on its own terms.
